Well, do you? Either Jesus is your ultimate authority or something else is? You will either review the Scriptures thru the eyes of Jesus or thru other eyes that are more authoritative in your eyes then Jesus. You can’t serve two ultimate authorities! The OT should be understood in light of the NT

To Biblically understand the Old Testament you need to rightly understand the New Testament! To understand the Old Testament ignoring the New Testament is fine but it’s not Biblical!
