Jesus was John’s go to…considering who John was according to Jesus (Matthew 11:11) this was no small deal.

“Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” – Matthew 11:2-6

Jesus was Peter’s go to…

“Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” – John 6:68

Jesus was Paul’s go to

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13

Jesus is the churches and thus our go to thruout all ages

“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:14-21

This is why we don’t need new revelation we just need to go to the same Jesus the church has been going to since it’s inception. Not the Jesus comes lately’s nor the Jesus that got lost in history for 600 years or 1900 that most still don’t even know about world over.

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:18-20

Yah that JESUS that has been drawing men to salvation since His immaculate conception.

“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.” – John 12:32-33

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” – JESUS John 3:14-17

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:7-8

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” – Hebrews 13:8

This is the Jesus that brought along with Him (salvation) the OT (Genesis, Exodus, Prophets, Psalms, Proverbs etc etc etc) to the world as predicted by Isaiah 49:1-6

“Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; and said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God. And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.” – Isaiah 49:1-6

“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.” – Isaiah 42:1-4

As He himself predicted of himself probably based off of these verses and just being who He is Jesus (John 1:1-2,14)

“And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” – Acts 1:7-9

These are just some of the reasons why Jesus is my go to! He is the tried true and tested go to. Modern day scholarship both believing and non believing got nothing on Jesus.

It would be unwise to trust in the scholarship come lately biased with naturalistic thinking which is hardly compatible with Scripture and thus creates a straw Bible argument against the Bible which is no reason to not believe the Scriptures or a logically dissonant and incoherent one at best!

The dissonance is in sinful men not in Jesus! God bless you all…in His name and in this year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 2025.

P.S. We’ve got our faith in modern day intellectuals but where is our faith in Jesus or is it that we just simply favor the intellectuals over Jesus and this is why we moderns ultimately don’t believe in Jesus. I believe it is a fair question to ask our modern day prideful I know better than Jesus intellectuals. Is it any wonder we don’t believe.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” – Jeremiah 17:9-10

“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” – Hebrews 4:11-13

Could it be that we are wrong and that Jesus is right? That God knows us better than ourselves or even (believe or not) our modern day naturalistically biased minded Darwinian/Freudian psychologist of today (not to say it’s all smoosh but if it contradicts God than you know, who we going to believe?).

“The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” – JESUS John 7:7

That He has been right all along and nothing about Him needs changing but rather He needs to be trusted in for our good and our eternal salvation! We need the changing and the saving and to follow Him by taking that first step of FAITH!

“And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” – JESUS Mark 4:40

“….Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” – JESUS Luke 18:8

What faith will be found in our hearts? Faith in Jesus or ourselves or in other intellectual PHD’ed individuals whether believers or not?

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools….ho changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” – Romans 1:22,25

“And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.” – Luke 8:25

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” – Matthew 11:28,29
