Pain and suffering and yet God

Some interesting points to digest! God bless…

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” – Romans 5:6-11

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” – Genesis 50:20

For me I can’t seem to understand how an omniscient God would/could stop what He knows will come to pass even before it comes to pass even if it were evil or else He would not be omniscient nor sovereign. That would be like asking the question: Can an omnirational God create square circles? The answer is, of course, no, as He is a rational God even though He is omnipotent and can do anything but only anything that is consistent with His omnirationality if indeed He is omnirational. Why would He use his omnirationality in contradiction to His omnipotence or anything else that He is? That would be irrational and contradictory, so there are some things that God can not do like in the Scriptures. He can not lie being a God of truth. But I could be wrong here and am happy to be shown where I may be wrong and probably am…lol.

By the way, neither of nor does anyone’s salvation should be hinged on solving the issues of our universe. The Gospel of Jesus Christ does not call us to this but rather to trust Jesus as the way the truth and the life and not unto each other or our selves or some wanna be like me…lol!

Now, God may sovereignly allow and foreknow pain and suffering to bring about for some good in the world! There was much good done thru all these atrocities and evil characters, and good characters were revealed, and God both condemns the evil and upholds the good and means it only for good. I think it is to us to choose to trust that God is doing good thru man’s sinful history. Many people have suffered great things and the only hope of anything ultimately good out of it is that only a good being like God will (because He is all good and loving etc etc etc) and can (because he is all powerful) indemnify the whole scenario at the last day of judgement so much so that it will be as if there were no evil at all (and so the question may be asked on that day “what evil?!” “It is finished” justified rectified indemnified). That our pain and suffering had a good purpose in mind, just like Joseph’s did and our ultimate example in Christ. That God has a good plan thru all this and in the end it will be as if it never even was remembering that God Himself not bring constrained to our linear time frame is at the end as He is at the beginning so in His mind it is finished and it is for us to trust Him not having all the answers much like Job and Joseph and Christ did!

Job, never got an answer except in the form of 70 questions or so that he could not answer from God at the end. As far as we know Job never knew what was going on behind the scenes and that seemed to HAVE TO BE the case to bring about God’s good purpose against the enemie’s (Satans) accusations against Job and Job is much more well off now than ever before and is eternally and blissfully happy that he chose to trust over his doubt in His Creator!

So, it seems to me we have a choice here to trust or not to! It seems there is problems either way, but one has a more hopeful outcome than the other, and so has that going for it and why maybe many decide to trust as opposed to not! Where is the hope in atheism? We all die, and nothing gets rectified/indemnified or that it even mattered at all ultimately, and morality is all subjective and relative etc etc etc (all the ample problems with real atheistic beliefs)

I mean what is more comforting to know that God is working all things out for good and in the end it will be justified/rectified/indemnified/or just plain out right all wrongs will be made right as to the opposite opinion. Anyhow,

I’m with Peter: “From that time, many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” – John 6:66-69

And some times I feel like the once blind man: “Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” – John 9:24-25

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:8-10

Anyhow, these are tough questions and need thoughtful answers and may never be satisfactorily answered on both sides, thus requiring trust! For me, Jesus is trustworthy, and so God bless and good day, and I point you now to Him!

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” – Jesus John 17:3

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” – Jesus John 3:16,17

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” – Jesus Matthew 11:28-29

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.” – Jesus John 7:16-18

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” – Jesus Matthew 24

The one wonder of the literary world has been passed down thru all the different translations and languages and time periods and cultures and countries and wars and 2 millennia of fill in the blank with whatever you know and here we are today with even a Genz study Bible…lol!

They have been preserved so that YOU AND I (2000 AD) can trust in Jesus too for our salvation and for our eternal well being!

And from one of His closest to you:

“And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” – John 20:30-31

Now, this is from the Gospel of John, with the earliest known copy dated to around 125 AD, which is probably a copy of a copy, mind you! And it is interesting that the fragment that has lasted these 2000 years somehow contains John 18:31-33 and 18:37-38! And then consider John 12:32, 33, but before you read!  Picture in your mind what is one of the first 3 symbols that come to your mind of Christianity. What a success if you ask me!

Go read the Gospel of John for yourself in prayer, fall in love with Jesus yourself and then ask the same questions you asked before you were in love with Jesus and see if you see it all in a different light!

“…Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” – Jesus John 20:29
