What are the laws of nature, but the laws of God. – EM BOUNDS
Did they come from nothing? Did random chance produce them? Have they just always magically been? 🤔
We all gotta believe in something right and we all gotta have faith now don’t we.
Check mate!?
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” – Hebrews 11:3
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6
The just shall live by faith. But it seems, so do the unjust…😆
To the just and the unjust how do you answer God:
“[1] Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, [2] WHO IS THIS THAT DARKENETH COUNSEL BY WORDS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE? [3] GIRD UP now thy loins like a man; For I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. [4] Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it? [6] Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; [7] When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?” – Job 38:1-7
I don’t know if any other god has asked such questions of man like this but the God of Job has . Are we humble enough to respond as Job did:
“[1] Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, [2] Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? He that reproveth God, let him answer it. [3] Then Job answered the LORD, and said, [4] Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. [5] Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: Yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.” – Job 40:1-5
When our sins are made known unto us do respond like David:
“[1] Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. [2] Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. [3] For I acknowledge my transgressions: And my sin is ever before me. [4] Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: That thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. [5] Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me. [6] Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. [7] Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. [8] Make me to hear joy and gladness; That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. [9] Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities. [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. [11] Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me. [12] Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit. [13]Â Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee. [14] Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. [15] O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. [16] For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering. [17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” – Psalm 51:1-17
And trust to Jesus:
“[22] who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: [23] who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: [24] who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [25] For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” – 1 Peter 2:22-25
Like King David did:
“[41] While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, [42] saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. [43] He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, [44]Â The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool? [45]Â If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? [46] And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.” Matthew 22:41-46
Believe that the laws of nature are His laws and not Darwins or Haeckel’s or Huxley’s or Hawkins etc etc etc or some others man made up idea of what they are! All we are doing is believing they are not His laws. Why not do the opposite! But we say that we don’t even know if God exists or not. Exactly, we don’t know in and of ourselves and with our limited knowledge and so why are we believing this way over that way! Both are believers! So, if we say we should not have faith then that position is the self-refuting one!
“[1] The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork.” – Psalm 19:1
Or so say the faithful as the unfaithful faithfully say otherwise! We all seem to die in a faith one way or the other. It’s just whether or not what we believe in delivers from death what comes next or not.
“And…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” – Hebrews 9:27
If Darwin’s faith is right nothing will be made right if Jesus is right than all will be made right by our plainly and obviously omnipotent Creator God (just look at all of creation, even the curse is His design against sin). Justice prevails in Jesus but justice loses in Darwin. If you have a strong sense and desire for justice and all things being made right then you will tend toward faith in God and give time for figuring out the “problems” of theism! But you certainly will not tend toward faith in that which has no hope of ultimate justice at all.
Maybe I’m wrong on all points above and maybe on some but God never is. Take what is good and right and Godly and throw out the rest. God bless…
