“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I AM THY GOD: I WILL STRENGTHEN THEE; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of MY RIGHTEOUSNESS.” – Isaiah 41:10
“[5] Every word of God is pure: HE IS A SHIELD UNTO THEM THAT PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM. [6] Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. [7] Two things have I required of thee; Deny me them not before I die: [8] Remove far from me vanity and lies: Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with food convenient for me: [9] Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? Or lest I be poor, and steal, And take the name of my God in vain. [10] ACCUSE NOT A SERVANT UNTO HIS MASTER, Lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty. [11] There is a generation that curseth their father, And doth not bless their mother. [12] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, And yet is not washed from their filthiness. [13] There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.” Proverbs 30:5-13
“[10] BE WISE now therefore, O ye kings: BE INSTRUCTED, ye judges of the earth. [11] SERVE THE LORD WITH FEAR, AND REJOICE with trembling. [12] KISS THE SON, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, When his wrath is kindled but a little. BLESSED ARE ALL! THEY THAT PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM.” – Psalm 2:10-12
“[36] Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would MY SERVANTS fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. [37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. TO THIS END WAS I BORN this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. EVERY ON THAT IS OF THE TRUTH HEARETH MY VOICE.” – John 18:36-37
“[16] He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and HE THAT DESPITHETH ME DESPITHETH HIM THAT SENT ME.” – Jesus Luke 10:16
[26] But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. [27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me…” – Jesus John 10:26-27
“[30] He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. ” – Jesus Matthew 12:30
“[28] Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. [29] The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. [30] Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. [31] Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. [32] And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. [33] This he said, signifying what death he should die.” – John 13:28-33
“[9] Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? [10] Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? [11] Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. [12] If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? [13] And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. [14] AND AS MOSES LIFTED UP THE SERPENT IN THE WILDERNESS, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But HE THAT DOETH TRUTH COMETH TO THE LIGHT, THAT HIS DEEDS MAY BE MADE MANIFEST, THAT THEY ARE WROUGHT IN GOD.” – John 3:9-21
Jesus’ message is a double edged sword but remember he first sliced thru his own culture before he sliced thru any others. His message offended his own culture before it offended any other!
“[18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God….[21] For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. [22] For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: [23] but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; [24] but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. [25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. [26] For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: [27] but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; [28] and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: [29] that no flesh should glory in his presence. [30] But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: [31] that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 1:18, 21-31
It is not about the glory of sinful men but it has always been, is and will be about the glory our righteous God. Glory be to God and His righteousness and not unto man and his sinfulness nor anything less than God.
To God be the Glory!
“[10] And I fell at his feet (AN ANGEL) to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I AM THY FELLOWSERVANT, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: WORSHIP GOD: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” – Revelation. 10:10
