Life is messy. We are messy. Life is full of sin. We are sinners.
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21
“But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” – Luke 5:30-32
Repentance is not a bad word it is a good thing!
Look to Jesus! He is the answer! He is the Doctor! Doctor J to our rescue but we gotta have those ears to hears by faith. It all starts with faith in the Doctor.
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” – John 3:14-17
He will give us our marching orders and life will become abundant even in the midst of our messy sinful hearts and lives.
“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.” – Jesus Mark 4:24
“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” – Jesus John 7:17
And never forget:
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” KJV
“But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” AMP
I was talking to one on the streets, and he seemed to think that the sacrifice of Jesus was like child abuse and messed up. I told him Jesus willingly gave His life for us and gave him a gospel of John to read Jesus’ own words for himself, so I will add them here:
“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” – Jesus John 10:11, 18
He is all the Love and God we need.
