“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.” – John 12:32-33 “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. “The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a … Continue reading The LORD shall be
“Herod wanted to know “where the Messiah was to be born.” and Micah’s prophecy, given around seven centuries before this event, gave him the answer: “In Bethlehem in Judea.” Micah’s prophecy also predicted of the Messiah that “He would be great to the ends of the earth” (Micah 5:4 NASB). Who is known throughout the world more than Jesus Christ? At the very least, Jesus is one of the most famous persons in all of human history. There is no real reason that a poor Jewish man, born in a cave in Bethlehem, should have been known by anyone outside … Continue reading Shall He Be Great
“Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them. For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; FOR I AM WITH THEE, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.” – Jeremiah 1:17-19 “What shall … Continue reading I the church…
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: SO SHALL MY WORD BE THAT GOETH FORTH out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall … Continue reading Seek…
