  1. I agree. Just like when somebody goes from a believer in God to one who doesn’t believe in God. The truth of the matter is in the why one converts to the other. Is there just reason to believe there is no God versus that there is?

    1. Yep, there is since not a single Christian can show that their god exists, nor can they do what their Jesus promises his true followers per the bible.

Let me ask you, do you have a “just reason” to not believe in the other gods human worship?

      1. I trust the Christ of the Gospels above Mohammed for a number of reasons, but one is that Mohammed says that God’s holy word got lost or corrupted. That corruption entered into the Gospels in less than 600 years. The Quran is a correction of this, thus the need for the Quran to correct the corruption. So, can allah faithfully preserve his word or not? Apparently, not…this is a most heinous issue in my mind. God can most assuredly preserve and keep His Word pure for all time. Islam’s god is not faithful to keep and preserve his word and this is an offensive view to any god let alone my God.

So, in short and there is much more to this than this but I trust the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who sent His only begotten Son to dies on the cross for our sins in part because He has been faithfull to preserve His Word in the earth and there is an unbroken chain of revelation from today tall the way back to Adam and Eve on my God’s own terms. Mormon’s and Mohammed’s god says otherwise, which translates that these god are hardly god enough to be compared to my God.

To put it in another I choose to trust the God who has proven to be God by keeping His Word preserved in the earth these others self admittedly has not. So who is to say that what they believe today is not corrupted and another revision will be needed to be made. This is not a very good foundation to build any trusting relationship upon, let alone trusting God for.

There are many other reasons besides this one and we can go thru them all if you like but I don’t wish to bore you…lol

      2. Hmm, TJ, curious how we know that the bible isn’t from any originals and it definitely has been changed repeatedly. So seems like Mo is right at least on that. Christians can’t even agree on what books should be in their silly bible. Yep it seems your god can’t preserve its word and isn’t what any of you cultists claim it is.

Nope there is no more to it, but you do love to make up things you don’t’ have. No evidence for any of the claims in the bible so to prate at me that you believe God, Abraham, etc is worthless. No unbroken chain, and you poor cultists can’t even agree on the most basic things.

Your god has not kept anything preserved and considering how many versions of this Christian nonsense there are, your god has failed rather amazingly. This is despite your bible claiming that jesus prayed to himself that this not happen. Now, how does that work, god not fulfilling god’s prayers? Every split is where your cult shows that another revision had to be made.

      3. You are making an external critique that means nothing to internal critiquing. I was making an internal critique of both Islam vs Christianity. Christianity teaches that God’s Word doesn’t get corrupted or lost this is what Jesus of the Gospels taught and I believe it but what Mohammed taught is that gods word does get corrupted. I mean the gospel of salvation as plainly written of in the Gospels, is radically altered in Islam this is huge! And this is a teaching of Islam. Huge…Mohammed’s god dropped the ball on the most important issue of humanity’s eternal salvation. Mohammed’s god leaves us wondering if the Quran can be faithfully preserved given that his prior writings got so corrupted. Christian teaching doesn’t leave you wondering.

You asked me why I, as a Christian, do not believe in Islam, and I explained why. Now we can discuss various translations of god’s word and textual traditions but that is another discussion. Today there are many different translations and variants of texts within those versions and it is the people of God’s duty to rightly divide the word of truth but this is far different than what Isalm teaches. That difference causes me to trust in the God who preserves His Word according to His own word vs the god who himself admits to not being able to preserve his word according to his own word. Ouch!

      4. All cults claim that their magic books aren’t corrupted, but others are. Unsurprisngly, you have no evidence to support that claim, and I have plenty of evidence your claim is simply a lie. The bible has been altered, added to, etc.

It’s notable that it seems that islam is more honest than Christianity is.

Christians don’t agree on their “gospel of salvation” with being unable to agree on who is saved, how one is saved, etc. Is it grace? Is it belief? Works? Some mix of the three? Christian teaching does leave one wondering, since Christians can’t agree on the most basic things. Is it free will or predestination? How is the bible to be interpreted? What morals does god want, what commandments are still to be followed?
You as a Christian simply make up what you want. You don’t believe in Islam since it has no evidence fo its claims and surprise, neither does your religion. It isn’t another discussion since yet again, Christians do not agree on what they claim. Every Christian is sure that it’s only their version that is “rightly divided” and surprise, not a single one of you can show your nonsense to be the truth. So your attacks on Islam are amusing and show just how blind Christians are to their own cult’s failures.

  2. But all that you said doesn’t change the fact that Mohammed teaches that allah (Mohammed’s god) allowed his word to be so corrupted that the gospel that Jesus (the Son of God) died on a cross for our sins and then rose again from the dead and now sits at the right hand if the Father is a lie (this is more than a textual varient or varient translation! THIS IS HUGE!). According to Mohammed, god’s word got really and I mean really corrupted. Jesus teaches no such thing! The gospel has been consistently preached and believed from the beginning even before in the OT there is a consistent teaching of Jesus that God’s Word doesn’t fail and will always prevail and it has and he has come to fulfill it. If Mohammed is right about allah then allah’s word on allah’s own teaching is not able to be trusted. In Christ there is no such teaching.

Now, as a believer in the gospel we will have disputes as we always have but what we get to do is go to God’s word that is faithfully preserved thruout all generations to discuss argue and debate but Muslims go to a word that may have been corrupted even at the all important point of salvation. This to me is a huge issue for me and just one reason why I go to Jesus for truth and not Mohammed!

Variants in texts is not corruption. Varying different translations of a text is not corruption. Millions of Christians Today read many different translations which are based off of earlier textual tradition which do have variants amongst them but nothing like what Mohammed teaches.

    God bless…
