Yaah…baby!
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” – Jesus Luke 15:10
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” KJV
“But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” AMP
I was talking to one on the streets, and he seemed to think that the sacrifice of Jesus was like child abuse and messed up. I told him Jesus willingly gave His life for us and gave him a gospel of John to read Jesus’ own words fir himself so I will add them here:
“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” – Jesus John 10:11, 18
He is all the Love and God we need.

yep, atheists can be stupid and join cults. that doesn’t mean the cult is true.

True, but whether or not Christianity is a cult is another matter. Here we go again….lol! This serves as a good reminder to keep you in my prayers. Take care… 😀

Christianity is quite a cult.
Cults:
tell their members to give up everything for the cult.
Tell their members to abandon their families.
Tell their members to mutilate their genitals.
of course, most cultists find reasons why they dont’ have to do what their cult leader said when its inconvenient.
Funny how your prayers still fail, TJ. And this with all of the promises from jesus in the bible that his true followers will get any prayer answered with what is asked for, no exceptions or excuses, and answered quickly.

God said no to Moses, so His answer is not always a yes.
Let us assume for arguments sake that Christianity is a cult as you believe.
If you are an atheist, then who cares? There is no right or wrong! There is no free will as you admitted earlier in comments in the past (which being a consistent atheistic materialist you would have to hold to).
So, a cult is just a by-product of chemicals and neurons, firing off in enough people’s brains. There is nothing right or wrong about a cult. A cult is just one of the many results of millions of years of molecules and stardust banging around, and some molecules in some grey matter’s have an attraction to cultic ideas no different than iron is magnetically attracted to a magnet and others are attracted to other insane ideas like atheism.
Why are you so concerned about cults being an atheist? Cult leaders and leaders in atheist groups are just molecules and chemicals and minerals and grey matter doing what they do according to the mindless laws of nature. They are both equally mindless and irrational as the amazing design of a car would be without its designer.
You really can’t be morally unhappy about cults and their members, no more than a scientist in a lab, can be unhappy about iron being attracted by a magnet as opposed to not.
Atheism, to me, may or may not be a cult, but it can not make sense of atheistic claims about how wrong cults or anything for that matter cause there is no right or wrong in an atheistic universe.
We live in a universe where there is right and wrong, and we have a conscience and know it, and it is clearly unavoidable!
In a Biblical universe, there is such thing as right and wrong, and so when we discuss things of right and wrongness, then you are unwittingly/unknowingly proving atheism false and Christianity as true at the same time.

IT’s always great fun when Christians ignore jesus in favor of something else. Of course, you’ll ignore the OT when it tells you to kill adulterers. This is a lovely example of how Christians pick and choose through their contradictory bible.
It is a cult, and I’ve demonstrated that. It is no surprise, that you now have to invent more lies. There is right and wrong, and yep, they are subjective ideas invented by humans. I do care about the lies you tell, dear and I’ll stand against them. Yep, no free will, but we have a great illusion of it so I still will take actions.
It’s so sweet when Christians try lies to get atheist to not show how their cult fails. Sorry, it doesn’t work. I can indeed be morally unhappy about your lies that you spread, but it’s nice that you try to tell me yet more nonsense. Alas, for your failed analogy, a human isn’t iron.
So, if atheism is a cult, you are in two cults, dear. Unfortunately for you, atheism is a conclusion that a particular god or gods doesn’t exist. It isn’t a cult: : a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious (see SPURIOUS sense 2)also : its body of adherents;
: a system of religious beliefs and ritualalso : its body of adherents4
: formal religious veneration : WORSHIP
It’s hilarious that you think that atheism can’t make sense of atheist claims when that’s what it does. And again, yep, there can indeed be right and wrong in a universe without your imaginary friend. As I have stated, morality is a human invention, no god needed, and poor theists can’t show that their god agrees with what they claim it wants.
Nope, we don’t have any conscience, no matter how many times a theist lies about it. Again, the cases of feral children underline that quite well. It’s great to see you stamp your feet in a tantrum as if that will make you false claims true.
Funny how every Christian claims that only their morals are biblical, and funny how not one of you can show your god agrees with your morality. So, nope, you have no evidence there is any objective “right and wrong”. It’s also great that you lie and claim I “prove” your cult true, when I do not. Again, dear, Christians can’t agree on what “right and wrong” they want to claim their god gives them.
Do show how you can show your version to be the true one.

“There is right and wrong…” How so given that you believe we live in an atheistic/materialistic world? Human beings invented right and wrong, but humans are but a composition of atoms and electrons and neurons and grey matter and minerals and fill in the blank. If we are but material matter, then how does material matter come to conclude or invent right and wrong. This is the same argument I made before.
This is not an easy answer for an atheist to come up with. Philosophers have been and still are trying to figure this out. I am just saying they are barking up the wrong tree and never will they find the answer much like if I were standing on flat earth theories to determine the origins of the universe. I’ll forever be barking up wrong trees.
“Free will” is an “illusion”. You say this because you and I are just molecules in motion doing what molecules do, right. It’s all deterministic! How in the world do you get right and wrong from this? You don’t, and if you don’t, then I get to lie and on your beliefs my lies are not really lies at all but just how the molecules work in my brain no different than chemical reactions in a lab so you shouldnt be all that upset when you are lied to as if I was freely choosing to do so and as if there really is right and wrong that I was choosing from.
Electrons do what electrons do. Molecules do what molecules do. Neurons do what neurons do. Synapses do what Synapses do. There is no free will, so stop getting mad at the Hitler’s of the world. Who cares what a rapist or terrorist does in an atheistic universe for all is but matter in motion. Pure random chance working on pure random chance what happens is just what happens. There is no right and wrong. This universe is terribly flawed, and this is why everyone should reject atheism cause we all have a God given conscience, and we know better.
We will be held accountable for our actions by the Perfect Judge, who alone defines what is right and wrong in accordance with His character by whom we have been created in the image.
I know you will reject this, and then what are you left with? Where are you at now? An atheistic universe that is insufficient to explain simple right and wrong that we all know must be and actually act as if there is such a thing every single day of our lives. We know it.
Take care for now…

There is a right and wrong and it is a subjective invention of humans. No god needed. It’s sweet that you keep yammering about humans being a collection of atoms, if somehow that prevents humans from determining right and wrong. You’ve shown nothing that shows that this is impossible, dear. And yes, it’s the same failed argument you’ve made before. Nothing surprising there.
We don’t know *yet* on how consciousness arose. We may never know. Still no evidence for your god.
You are yet again making more baseless claims. Yep, you might claim that philosophers are wrong, but you can’t show that is true nor, again, can you show your god exists at all.
Free will *is* an illusion since humans can’t know all the factors that influence them. And nope, I don’t say that since we are molecules, but nice try. And we get right and wrong from our empathy and self-interest. It very well may be completely deterministic. So?
You don’t get to lie without being shown wrong, dear. And yep, your claims are lies. Nice of you to admit you do lie. A lie prevents me from making an informed decision and thus affects how I interact with reality. It is entertaining to see you invent excuses why it is okay for you to lie to me in your desperation to try to get me to stop showing how you fail.
Again, no evidence for your god or that it “gives” any conscience. Repeating lies doesn’t make them true. Happily, nope, no one will be held accountable for anything by your imaginary friend, and your sadistic little fantasies will never come true. 2000+ years of complete failure of your cult.
Yep, I will reject your baseless nonsense yet again. Your attempts to claim that “we” agree are simply desperate lies.

“There is a right and wrong and it is a subjective invention of humans.” Is a “baseless claim” itself? How do atoms, molecules, neurons, synapses, quarks, molecules, chemistry, etc etc etc all put together over a million meaningless purposeless random chance filled years create the consciousness necessary for subjective or objective (for that matter) “right and wrong.”
“We don’t know *yet*…We may never know.” but you sure are believing it aren’t you? You may never know what you believe to be true to be true.
Now, I don’t know exactly how the creator created everything in every intricate detail but believing that God did sure beats believing all of the intricate details of life and mind and reason and will and wrong and right and love and beauty and emotion etc etc etc is a result of random meaningless purposeless chance.
Right and wrong ultimately doesn’t matter in an atheistic universe but we all act like (thus know) it does as this discussion is proving. And I believe only God can make sense of this and atheism cannot and so for me I go with God and trust Him as opposed to “We may never know.” how consciousness came into being via nonconscious matter and molecules colliding miraculously in some area of our universe so far only on earth, but many believe elsewhere too. I guess if this miracle happened here, I suppose it could happen anywhere. So, we look to the aliens for salvation now a days! But this only pushes the problem to some other planet and the wheels got to spin there all over again.
Only God can make sense of right and wrong, origins of conscious, meaning, purpose and our universe etc etc. But if you find meaning and all this in random chance then fine. But I’m not seeing it at all. I see a very very very poor replacement to God as the explanation.
We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. We all replace God with something we freely and knowingly choose to deem better than God Himself in our lives. Jesus came to save us from this sinful rebellion against our Creator.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” – John 3:14-16
God has provided and there will be no valid excuses (your faith in random chance will not cut it). Turn to Him not from Him in faith! Your not expected to have all the answers before you believe as you yourself are believing something without all the answers as you yourself admit.
But I will be continuing to pray for you, and I would ask you to pray for me but I understand you do not believe in God and so I hope you can wish me well none the less. Cause we all need prayer at times and need some good wishing too!
Anyhow, take care for now….

TJ, if you want to claim that my point about right and wrong and morals being a human invention is a “baseless claim”, then show how it is. All you have is an argument from personal ignorance logical fallacy. That you don’t know something doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Gee, goddidit is all you have, and no evidence for that at all.
I believe it since all evidence points that way. Again, no evidence for your imaginary friend at all. I do know that what you believe isn’t true.
Yep, you know nothing dear, and your lies show that. No evidence that elieving in your imaginary friend is worth anything at all, since you have no evidence for it. You personally find it better, but again, have no evidence to support your claims, just like every other theist who insist that their god is the creator.
Right and wrong do mtter in an atheistic universe, but you have to baselessly lie that they don’t. And acting like doesn’t mean “know”, but nice lie there.
So, what if you believe only your particular version of the Christian god can make sense of things? You can’t show it does. Again, you are just one more theist who is sure that only they are right. No miracle happened at all, just physics. And no evidence for aliens yet, so no reason to assume they exist. Funny how vanishingly few humans of any kind look to “aliens” for any salvation. They have no more evidence of that nonsense than you do for your god.
In that Christians can’t agree on what this god considers right or wrong, your baseless claim that only your god can make sense of right and wrong fails. Again, nope, no evidence for god so no evidence that it was the origin of consciousness, meaning or purpose, or our universe. And gee, no random chance involved, just physics. All you have is “I don’t like it since it shows I’m not important to some imaginary being so it can’t be true”.
Still no evidence for sin at all, dear, and no evidence for any “glory of god”. Unsurprisingly, you then try the lie that “everyone’ worships something, when they do not, in your desperate attempt to lie to yourself that everyone “really” agrees with you. No evidence for jesus or any need for any “salvation”. Again, your cult invents “sin” to sell its lies.
Repeating lies from your cult’s book isn’t impressive. Funny how this god hasn’t provided anthing at all, evidence, protection for its followers, or all they need to live, as the bible promises. Alas, for your cult, there are plenty of valid reasons to ignore your lies.
It’s hilarious that you now try to claim that I don’t need all of the answers before I believe in your lies. Funny how C.S. Lewis tries the same garbage by telling Christians to lie to potential converts since the splintering and contradictions in christainity will put them off converting.
And do keep praying since every single time you do it, you are shown yet again that your prayers are worthless. Why would I pray for you when that does nothing at all? I have no need to wish you well either, liars don’t deserve that. Funny how no one needs prayer or pointless wishes since they do nothing at all. It’s rather notable that you don’t pray for anything like amputees being healed, burn victims being healed, etc. You know that will never happen. That’s called self-editing, so you don’t have to admit your cult is nonsense.

Again, if human beings are just a collection of amoral stuff like electrons, atoms, molecules, neurons, synapses, grey matter, wave lengths, etc etc etc etc etc and nothing more than I don’t see how humans can invent anything at all, let alone right and wrong.
All we really are in an atheist universe are robots with no free will and no real thinking going on. We are but a meaningless algorithm deceived into thinking we have free will and thought and are inventing right and wrong 😉.
It is all an illusion in an atheist universe. But you and I know better. This is evidence of God that without God, you can’t make sense of what we know to be true, so you have to change what we know be true to be an illusion and make an illusion reality. It’s all upside down and inside out.
So, reality must be redefined to be fit into an atheist universe, but all we are really doing is deceiving our own selves when we do this.
We all need Jesus as He alone can save us from declaring ourselves to be mere algorithms to excuse ourselves from responsibility toward God. We freely choose to put atheism above God, and in doing so, we lose the free will that no responsibility can exist without, and we are robots.
So, you and I are not really arguing about anything at all here. You are a robot programmed with all your stuff, and I am a robot programmed with all my stuff programmed to bump into each other with no programmer l.
This, to me, is not a viable option to God. We really don’t believe this atheistic foolishness. Nobody does! Or else why are you and I typing? Why do you and I care about things? Why do we have justice systems set up? What is love in this atheistic universe? There are no such things in an atheists universe as they are all illusions.
But in a God created universe, these things can be real, and we have been created to freely choose to love or hate God and our neighbors and so be held responsible for both good and bad actions toward God and man. But this means we need our sins forgiven, which means we need Jesus.
You wanna know which God to follow? Take Jesus up on this:
“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” – Jesus John 7:17
Anyhow, take care for now, and I still wish you well from the bottom of my heart even though I believe that you are the one believing and spreading a lie that we live in an atheistic universe. Nobody really believes this. At least not with any real meaningful thought if we really are just stuff.
Nope, we live in His universe, where free will and responsibility and love and thinking and real beauty exists but unfortunately so does real hate which will be dealt with and this is why you and I need Jesus. Turn to Him, not from Him! Start with a little faith as it will go a longer way than you currently think! You have put a lot of faith in atheist thought (or non thought if atheism is true) time to think the opposite for a little while. Believe in a universe that you can really think in with your thinking.
Read thru the gospels with a little child like faith and prayer and see what happens.

And gee, the same baseless garbage you’ve claimed before and were shown it was false. It’s so sweet when your cult depends on such poor lies.
Nope, no robots, just humans who aren’t aware of eveythign that influences them, and thus have an illusion of free will. Plenty of real thinking going on. All you have is the typical cultist lies to try toscare people in believing your nonsense.
I always love when you go out of your way to lie and claim I agree with you. I don’t, and that you have to lie about this is rather notable. Funny how I can make sense of what we know to be true without your god, so your baseless claims fail again.
And gee, still no evidence that your imaginary friend exists. Alas, reality doesn’t agree with your fantasies, dear.
Nope, no one needs lies or you, dear. All you have are baseless presuppositions. Alas, no free will in your bible either, per both jesus and paul, Matthew 13 and romans 9.
Oh we are arguing about things, and you try now to claim we aren’t so you can pretend that you haven’t failed miserably.
Again, back to the usual argument from personal ignorance to cling to your nonsense. It’s great that you now claim to be psychic since you have to lie that you know what everyone things. How quaint. You try a common lie from Christians that I should not care to show your lies if there is no god. Sorry, plenty of reasons to expose cultists.
Love, justice etc, are real, no god needed. It’s so cute to again see you make claims you can’t support.
And funny how I was a Christian, read the bible, prayed to not lose my faith, and surprise, your jesus was a no-show. Pity your imaginary friend threw you under the bus.
NO evidence that you wish anyone well, dear. When you pretend that anyone who doesn’t’ agree with you deserves eternal torture, your nonsense about wishing people well don’t quite match.
And yet more baseless nonsense from you, the same garbage that any theist claims. Why do I need faith in your imaginary failure of a god, dear? I have no need to have faith in a genocidal lunatic, someone who kills people for the actions of others, and who says slavery is fine.
I really do think, and your cult is ridiculous. I’ve read the entire bible dear, and not as a ignorant child but an adult. That your fairy tales need read by ignorant children to be believed is also quite notable.
funny how nothing happens when anyone read the bible, prays, etc, that doesn’t happen with any other cult.
